I;'m doing a magazine cover piece in scratchboard of Larry Sanger, co-founder of Wikipedia. The pose is reminiscent of a famous portrait of Diderot, and the idea is that Wikipedia is "broken", and Sanger is trying to figure out how to fix it.
Because each puzzle piece is it's own theme, I don't get the idea he's RE-assembling it. Maybe a grid ala the Periodic Table around the symbols that is being locked into place? Or a nimbus of faint clouds or something?
• Label your posts like this: month.day.year Name. For example, 08.17.09 LWhite •The goal is least a full page in a sketchbook per day • Any subject matter, media, level of finish is fine • You should post at least every three days • Pages should be dated • The overall goal for the sketches is to have fun and to draw when the moment or opportunity presents itself. Also to encourage experimentation and interpretation. The goal is NOT for every page to be pretty.
