This is a quick study done at the start of yesterdays landscape painting.
Clearly this is done solely for my benefit -- as I'm not sure anyone else would know what the heck this is (FYI it's two train cars down by the railroad tracks in industrial NW Portland). It was all going splendidly until a huge truck pulled right in front of me blocking my view. So I had to abandon this composition and start over on a new one. Ah, the wonders of plein-air painting!
