Laura -- No this is from a photo I came across and fell in love with. So cool huh?! The asymmetry is just neat! I would kill to meet the designer who created this. One of the reasons I did the painting was so that this sort of thing would embed itself in my brain and become part of my visual library. (Plus I just wanted to do a more finished watercolor painting)
Lee -- I hear you. I had to stay up extra late because I took time out to do this. I was groggy the next day, but it was worth the tradeoff.
• Label your posts like this: month.day.year Name. For example, 08.17.09 LWhite •The goal is least a full page in a sketchbook per day • Any subject matter, media, level of finish is fine • You should post at least every three days • Pages should be dated • The overall goal for the sketches is to have fun and to draw when the moment or opportunity presents itself. Also to encourage experimentation and interpretation. The goal is NOT for every page to be pretty.

Gorgeous! I Love the design of the door/window... did you invent that? The colors are lovely!
