I'm surprised we don't see more of these sorts of drawings. If I was teaching, I would be so bored waiting for students to draw, just watching them work...
You'd think so, but there really isn't a lot of down time when teaching. The hours tend to fly when they're filled with mini-demos, critiques, general questions and me going off on jags about copyright or licensing issues. In the case of this page I was substituting for another instructor and it was a "work in class" day. A rare quiet day.
• Label your posts like this: month.day.year Name. For example, 08.17.09 LWhite •The goal is least a full page in a sketchbook per day • Any subject matter, media, level of finish is fine • You should post at least every three days • Pages should be dated • The overall goal for the sketches is to have fun and to draw when the moment or opportunity presents itself. Also to encourage experimentation and interpretation. The goal is NOT for every page to be pretty.
