part of a demo I'm doing for my costume drawing class tomorrow. Ink, watercolor, tiny bit o' photoshop... 45 minutes working time (1 hour with scanning and photoshop).
While at McMenamins waiting for dinner tonight i doodles some of the cool lamps, then the truck later. The damn thing drove off right after I did my ruff lay-in, so I had to make the rest up.
I borrowed the Princess and the frog art book from a friend, so thats been stuck in my head all day, and while doing a layout study i screwed up and covered the drawing in ink. So I drew something cute from the book to make myself feel better...
First my wife was sick and then I got sick and then this week my kid was sick. It's summer! Who get's sick in the summer? Sore throat, stuffed up, tired....Great time. I feel better now and was able to work on these all day yesterday while watching the baby.
I finally went to life drawing class today. It's been a while and it was rough. The poses went on too long at times and I got bored so I drew other members in the class.
Here's some quick sketch work from my class demo's etc. Some are from location drawing and the others are from costume drawing for animation. Mostly 3-8 minutes a piece...
Did this sketch while waiting for my lunch to be prepared. Portland is getting a bit of a reputation for some good food carts and I decided to test that today. Ordered an Arepas sandwich(?) with chicken and green chili -- pretty darn tasty!
• Label your posts like this: month.day.year Name. For example, 08.17.09 LWhite •The goal is least a full page in a sketchbook per day • Any subject matter, media, level of finish is fine • You should post at least every three days • Pages should be dated • The overall goal for the sketches is to have fun and to draw when the moment or opportunity presents itself. Also to encourage experimentation and interpretation. The goal is NOT for every page to be pretty.
