Some concept sketches I made while on my lunch break. This little guy is a character I made for a stop motion short (currently named Beano).

Does this count as a page-a-day?

I hadn't done one of these little lighting studies in a while, so I thought I'd give it a go. These each took about 15 mins, the first one is just value, and the second one I went for color and used a texture brush to try and give it a painter like quality.

Tonights oil painting, this took about 2 1/2 to 3 hours, and I’m just working on the drawing and the value.

The last drawing here was just the beginning of a series of drawings that I did to take this character and turn him into a character that will fit into the world of Hercules. Please check out the other drawings/process on my sketch blog here: http://cassiw.blogspot.com/2011/05/hercules-style-character.html

More character sketches.

^A sad attempt at drawing on location. I'm so rusty

Drawings of people in class.

And below are horrible quick studies of people. The top page were 30 sec drawings. It was a bit too fast so on the bottom page I went to 2min with 30 sec silhouettes

Sketches of girls from Hal Rasmusson.

I, uh, think I'm gonna work on these a bit. That'll be my side project for the week. If you're interested in seeing the original drawings, you can see them on John K's blog,

http://johnkstuff.blogspot.com/2011/01/pretty-girls-by-rasmusson.html.

Rasmusson has a really cool inking style that's worth checking out.
