Even though I haven't posted in a while, I have indeed been drawing a lot. I graduate in exactly a month, and been trying to get all that fun stuff out of the way. So anyway, here's some concept drawings I've been doing for Lee's pre production class in the last week and half.

I was watching the Making-Of Disney's Pinocchio recently and saw this amazing guy talking about animating in the 1940's. He was just too cool looking not to paint. BTW if you haven't watched Pinocchio recently go check it out. Amazing!

It seems the work is better with brush-style pen and some real line thickness...though the Minelli sketch I like. Strange how the odd-looking people are so much easier...

Been a bit since I posted. I'm gonna' blame it on the fact that I haven't been doing much drawing but instead lots of sheetrocking and running electrical, getting showers ready for tile etc. The studio renovation has been moving along nicely! It should be a great space when we're done.

In the evenings I come home and continue working on this series.
I finished a final painting only to discover that I wasn't satisfied, so I started reworking the color study stage. These are some of the options I came up with.
