My illustration class started up today. The first thing they do is a quick sketch portrait of Einstien. Here's my version.

Decided to audit a class landscape painting class at AiPD this summer term.
First day of classes are almost always lectures -- and therefore a great chance to work on figure drawings!

Continuing the sketches from my trip to Korea. This is part of a Buddist temple in the northern part of South Korea. Freakin' beautiful. Right on the edge of the ocean!

Lee started this blog just as I was heading out for a trip to Korea. I'm now back and while I have to admit not sketching for the last two days here's one that I did recently.
It's the rooftop view of a neighborhood in Seoul.

I'd better get back to sketching first thing tomorrow!

I will be going out of town for 10 days. I will bring my drawing stuff, however, where I'm staying I don't think they have a scanner. I'll see what I can do. I 'll just draw and date them and do a mass posting when I get back.

quick study in watercolor and pen.

I changed my naming convention by adding a LW to the post. That way you guys can label your daily sketches using the date (month.day.year initials). Please date your sketches when you do them as well. It's a good habit to get into and keeps you honest in sketching daily (vs. doing a lot of pages at once and then not doing any for a while).
