9.20.10 N.Morana

Better late than never.

Giving a 360 pan layout a try. Little too heavy on the wall/corner distortion, but I think that's fixable.

Another little iso study. A little more technical than the last one (you can see that I ticked off the base layer into units)

Playing with isometric perspective layouts.
Not something I typically use for my projects, but kinda cool.

9.10.10 N.Morana

Today and yesterdays sketches, working on some character studies. The guy on the bottom is Ovi ( heres a link to his blog for David http://www.ovinedelcu.blogspot.com/ ) and the other is from The Princess and the Frog.

Page-o-doodles. This is what happens when students sit still long enough for me to draw them.

9-7-10 Harpster

Yes, all I'm drawing right now are these made up monsters. Working from home and watching a 15 month old has killed my free time for going out and drawing. Right now my kid sees me drawing and he wants to grab the pen out of my hand. I just finished a really huge project for work so that should leave some new time for more intense studies and maybe a life drawing class or two.

9.7.10 N.Morana 02

Trying to loosen up and draw some more organic things. The first image is a combo of a couple different photo references and some imagination, and the second is loosely based off the Totoro's tree from My Neighbor Totoro.

Todays and yesterdays sketches.

Yesterdays and todays sketches. Some planes from the pictures that a friend was kind enough to supply me with, seeing how I couldn't make it to the air museum.

9.2.10

Here's some class demos from yesterday's costume drawing class I teach. Each using a different approach. All were ink and/or watercolor

The little car the Audrey Hepburn drives in how to Steal a million, and a segway: they're such silly things.

8.31.10 N.Morana

Some little Atlantis sketches.

8.31.10 L.White

Here's some studies in the style of some illustrator who I can't remember. Watercolor on that crappy Canson watercolor paper. That stuff really sucks, don't use it except for studies and stuff. Arches and Fabriano are much better. Although the arches isn't truly white, which means that the paintings can look dull on it if you layer the paint.

A quick ruff based on a Khang le concept painting. Neat stuff. I also tried out using a little bit of water color. It seemed to hate me less today.
